Racine Veterinary Hospital Health Care Services

Our veterinarians and staff are passionate about the care of animals. Due to the ever growing field of veterinary medicine, we continue to gain knowledge and insite through continuing education and training.

We offer a wide range of veterinary services to ensure the health and well-being of your pet.

	Examinations/Preventive Care: During your visit, your veterinarian will perform a complete physical examination of your pet. This will include: the ears, eyes, mouth, heart, joints, skin and coat. Your veterinarian will also listen to your pet's chest with a stethoscope. At this time your veterinarian may also administer vaccinations, discuss preventative heartworm and flea treatments and offer nutritional and behavioral counseling.
Sometimes further testing is necessary to ensure that your pet is staying healthy and/or to discover any illnesses your pet may have.  Some of the health care services we provide are: Blood Pressure Measurement, Internal Medicine, EKG, Dentistry, Senior Care, Preventative Medicine, Dermatology and Allergy Testing, Nutritional Counseling, Ophthalmology, Ear Disease Prevention and Care, Radiology, Urinalysis, Microscopy and Cytology, Blood Testing, Microchipping, In House Pharmacy, Urgent Care and ER, and Behavioral Counseling. We also perform both soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
	However, some services are better sent to the labratory or require a specialist visit. Examples are Dr. Ann Mattson for Ultrasonography and endscopy and Dr. Chris Peterson for chiropractic adjustments.
